01 · The context

One designer for a growing company

When I joined in 2010, LivePerson had one designer covering the needs of a fast-growing company. The products, the brand and the company’s presence in the US were all expanding, and design needed to grow with them.

02 · The hard problem

One team, two countries

Building a team in Israel was one challenge. Building one that also worked across the US was another. Remote hiring was tricky, and the team needed one standard of quality wherever people sat.

03 · How I led it

Three decisions that shaped the outcome

  1. 01

    Build the team from scratch

I hired and structured a professional design team in Israel and the US, and raised the bar with every hire.

  2. 02

    Lead the brand change

The team led the design side of the company’s rebrand, across product and marketing.

  3. 03

    Design LiveEngage from the start

When LivePerson built LiveEngage, its new platform, design owned the experience from day one.

05 · What I learned

LivePerson taught me to build, not only to lead. It prepared me for the bigger enterprise world that came next.
